Of 2024 the 6th Karolis Lipiński International Violin Competition took place in Toruń. The competition was organized by the Toruń Symphony Orchestra.
It is a pleasure that the director of the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, Algimantas Treikauskas, had a special opportunity to represent Kaunas and present the winner of this competition, Sunjae Ok, with a special prize – an invitation to jointly organize a concert at the Kaunas State Philharmonic in 2025.
Therefore, the orchestra invites you to hear the incredibly talented violinist from South Korea, Sunjae Ok, who appears in concert halls around the world, who, together with the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dainius Pavilionis, will perform one of L. van Beethoven’s masterpieces – the concerto for violin and orchestra in D major, Op. 61.
At the concert, the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra will perform the symphonic poem “From Italy”, Op. 16, by the German classic Richard Strauss.
