Edvard Grieg – Music for the drama “Peer Gynt”
Embark on an adventurous journey with the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, musicologist Viktoras Gerulaitis, and conductor Dainius Pavilionis! This time, they invite the whole family to immerse themselves in the world of Edvard Grieg’s music – colorful, mysterious, and full of surprises.
“Peer Gynt” is the story of a dreamer and traveller whose adventures take him from the Norwegian mountains to distant lands, from the gentle rays of morning to the mysterious palace of the Mountain King. Grieg’s music becomes a true guide to the tale – painting vivid images, creating moods, and allowing each listener to become part of the story.
This is not just a concert – it is a living fairy tale where music, imagination, and emotion meet. It is a wonderful opportunity to introduce young listeners to the beauty of symphonic music while enjoying a unique family afternoon together.
Come and let the music tell you a story you will never forget!
