Two of Kaunas’ most distinguished ensembles – the Kaunas State Choir and the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra – together with exceptional guests will create an unforgettable festive atmosphere on the final evening of the year. Joining them will be the Ukrainian tenor Dmytro Popov, who performs at Europe’s most renowned opera houses and the legendary New York Metropolitan Opera, and his wife, soprano Julia Novikova, acclaimed for her outstanding roles on stages across Europe and South America. The celebration will be brought to life by the energetic gestures of maestro Robertas Šervenikas.

With the most popular works by Johann Strauss, whose 200th birth anniversary is being celebrated this year, as well as compositions by other composers, and the most beautiful arias and duets from operas and operettas filling the evening with the spirit of Vienna, we will joyfully step into the New Year.
