The Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra will mark the end of its season with an exceptional concert. World-renowned American soprano Latonia Moore – a three-time Grammy Award winner who has performed on some of the most prestigious opera stages in the world, including New York’s Metropolitan Opera, Milan’s Teatro alla Scala, and London’s Royal Opera House Covent Garden – will be visiting Kaunas.
Her voice captivates not only with technical mastery but also with emotional intensity and the ability to convey every musical nuance. Latonia Moore’s interpretations are distinguished by remarkable stability, a wide dynamic range, and a deep attention to the expressive meaning of the music. Her artistic expression encompasses both the tradition of classical operatic repertoire and stylistically related jazz vocal aesthetics. This fusion of two genres is reflected in the concert program, which will feature songs by the “First Lady of Song” Ella Fitzgerald alongside excerpts from the world’s most famous operas. The soloist and the orchestra will be conducted by Maestro Constantine Orbelian.
The KMSO season-closing concert with Latonia Moore concludes the season with an international program highlight, showcasing a dialogue between different traditions of vocal expression.
