Performances of international music stars in Pažaislis have been a tradition since the first festival. The event will be conducted by Constantine Orbelian (USA), Chief Conductor of the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, renowned for his long-standing collaborations with the most renowned opera artists.
Stephen Costello, recognised as one of the greatest tenors of his generation, made his Metropolitan Opera debut in New York in 2007 and was awarded the prestigious Richard Tucker Award in 2009. His voice is regularly heard in the world’s most famous theatres, and in 2018 his album A Te, o Cara, recorded with the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, was nominated for a Grammy Award.
The soloist will be accompanied by the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, with whom Orbelian has recorded 20 albums, four of which have been nominated for a Grammy. The concert at Pažaislis Monastery will feature Mario Lanza’s most spectacular songs and operatic arias – an unforgettable opportunity to listen to true music star!
