Lawrence Brownlee gave a single concert in Baltic States
Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra just presented one of the most important concerts of this season at Kaunas State Philharmonic Hall on April 5 at 6 pm. The soloist Lawrence Brownlee (b. 1972) gave a single concert in Lithuania and the Baltic States.

L.Brownlee is the most in-demand American tenor in the world in the bel canto repertoire, Lawrence Brownlee continues to stupefy audiences with the power and agility of his instrument. From firmly American roots, Brownlee has become a star on the international scene, performing opposite the leading ladies of contemporary opera, and lauded continually for the seemingly effortless beauty of his voice. Brownlee has been featured in nearly every major theatre in the world and enjoys a relationship with many premiere conductors and symphony orchestras.

L. Brownlee has chosen a rather hard repertoire for his debut in Lithuania, which will be based on rarely performed G. Rossini opera arias. According to critics, L. Brownlee is the best performer of G. Rossini's music today. Overtures from the operas "Barber of Seville", "Cenerentola", "Semeramide", arias from operas "Count Ory", "Semiramide", "Otello", "Zelmira", "L'Occasione fa il ladro" will resound in the concert.

This musical event will become a real festival for music lovers as the orchestra will be conducted by the hand of the conductor of Armenian origin Konstantin Orbelian.

The visit of L. Brownlee in Lithuania will add to his discography. A CD with Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra will replenish the list of albums of the singer released by prestigious labels.
